The group will have one day (part of the period) to present the material to the class. It is suggested to be as creative as possible. Make it fun! If your group wants to dress up or come in costumes, please do.

b. Quality of information

c. Organization , construction of paragraphs

d. Mechanics: grammar, spelling

50% for quality of presentation (25 points):

a. Was it well organized? Did you speak clearly and concisely when speaking to the class?

b. Did you spend enough time preparing and practicing? Was each member on beat? Did all members know the dance without help?

c. Were you successful in teaching the dance to your classmates in the time you had available?

d. Was the group enthusiastic when performing and teaching?

Not showing for your assigned presentation without previously arranging the absence with your teacher will result in an “Incomplete grade for the semester”.  If this occurs, you will be given an alternate assignment that can be made up during the second semester in order to complete the assignment, the 1st semester. This makeup will be determined by your teacher.

You should be sure everyone in your group knows what he or she is doing and is well-practiced.

Daily participation points during this unit will be based on each student learning their classmates’ dances and will be graded on their effort, courtesy and how well they master each dance.
