WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE!
Hi. I would like to welcome you to AP American Government/Macroeconomics and encourage you to enjoy your stay here. Think of it as 5-star hotel without any amenities, except for the chance to read and write a lot, and to occasionally (ok, more than just occasionally) listen to my blather. Of course, I hope to listen to yours as well. In fact, this is a necessary component to success in the class.
I've taught at American since 1988, and this particular class for about 17 years now. Other AP courses I've taught include AP US History and AP European History. I have also taught in the 27 years I've spent here at American, and in no particular order, the following: Geography, World History, US History, English 10CP, English 11CP, English 11 Honors, Drama, and Journalism.
I am married with 4 children. They range in ages from 23 to 29. I know what you're thinking--how could a 41 year old man have children so old? Maybe I'll explain some time. Some of my interests include music (pretty eclectic), film, reading, and Socal sports, especially my favorites--Dodgers, Rams, Lakers, Kings (hockey) and, of course, my alma mater, UCLA.
