Important Information for Students Taking AP Exams in May 2019

AHS AP Exams 2019

Welcome to the 2018-19 AP exam season. We have made a few changes to the process for American High School and want to pass them along to you early enough so that you can plan ahead.

*** Total Registration will be the only way you can register for AP tests. Sign-ups are scheduled to start on January 28, 2019 at 5:00 PM and close on February 28, 2019 at 5:00 PM. The link for Total Registration is www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/050974. You can register using your smart phone as well. If you do not have access to a computer for registration purposes, please use our students computers in the Library before school, lunch or after school to register. Payments at American High School WILL NOT be accepted.

*** The cost for most AP exams will be $105.00. The cost for tests using special audio equipment and facility space (i.e. AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP Chinese Language and Culture, and AP French Language and Culture) is $145.00.

*** Although AHS does NOT offer the AP Chinese Language and Culture course, registered AHS students are able to register for the AP Chinese Language and Culture exam that will be administered on the AHS campus. Seats will be limited; 9th grade and 10th grade students who have self-studied and want to challenge an AP Exam MAY be placed on a Wait List due to limited seating.

Due to space constraints, we will not be able to accommodate any students who are not registered students at American High School.

***Late AP testing will ONLY be offered to students that have two AP exams on the same day and time which causes a conflict. For instance, students taking both the AP Chinese and AP Environmental Science will HAVE to register for the APES Late exam. Please continue reading for other late AP testing constraints.

Due to space and funding constraints, students and families need to plan ahead and make sure not to schedule any activities on a day or week they are planning to take an AP Exam. We cannot accommodate late AP exams unless it is an emergency, or a school activity (i.e. sports competitions, fieldtrips, etc.) beyond your control. Please check the AP Calendar below or at the following link for more details.
